February 5th - The usual flock of Black-necked Grebes out in the harbour had built up to 12 this morning. Several Brent Geese were feeding on weed exposed at a very low tide. February 11th - A record number of 50 Great Crested Grebes were in the harbour this morning, 40 of them off Underbarn with the Slavonian Grebe. Also a Buzzard over Sandsfoot. February 20th - Another record today with no less than 185 Mergansers in the harbour this morning. Also 16 Black-necked Grebes and 2 Ravens. These Herring Gulls were filmed fighting on the shore off Downclose at low tide. February 28th - A Dartford Warbler was at Downclose this afternoon. |
