April 22nd - Loads pf migrants about this morning with no less than seven species of warbler seen or heard including a Cetti's warbler at Newstead Road and my first grasshopper warbler on the trail singing above Old Castle Road. Further along the trail there were five common sandpipers on the rocks below Downclose embankment and twenty plus wheatears at Smallmouth. April 27th - A courting flock of 7 gadwall were over Newstead Road this morning. more on my video blog ... |
