Duncecroft Quarry, Portland

This small and relatively inaccessible quarry was the first place that wall lizards were found on Portland.
They can often be seen on warm days right through the winter, unlike out British common lizards which hibernate.
However we couldn't find any today, so here is a sequence from last summer.
That was an adult female lizard, this next one is a juvenile.
We did see this lovely kestrel say on the quarry wall though.
