The Travelling Naturalist's Dorset Reunion weekend at Sandbanks was a great success in gorgeous warm spring weather.
We started on the Friday with a trip to Brownsea Island where we all had great views of red squirrels.
I'm not sure why this one was so intent on licking every twig in the area but it does eventually settle down to a meal of what looked like moss or lichen.
On the lagoon we saw a good variety of waders including this very obliging greenshank.
On the Sunday we went over to Arne RSPB Reserve where we saw several Dartford warblers, which I didn't manage to photograph, and no less than 25 spoonbills, 2 of which I did manage to film.
