Bob Ford's Video Blog
Ferrybridge
Saturday February 15th 2014
Today there was a particularly tame group of red-breasted mergansers at the end of the Rodwell Trail at Smallmouth, near Ferrybridge.
I couldn't resist filming them diving in slow motion as well.
While we're on the topic of mergansers we ought to have a look at Hoodie, the American hooded merganser now in its sixth year at Radipole Lake!
Since adding this video it seems that Hoodie has finally left us.
Good-bye Hoodie, you'll be missed.
It seems like I spoke too soon, as on Monday March 10th Hoodie returned. Hooray!
See March 5th 2013 for an appreciation of this favourite sawbill.
