The path to the North Hide is starting to come alive with insects now the weather is finally warming up.
First a red-headed cardinal beetle.
Next was this beautiful hoverfly basking in the sun. A Helophilus species, most likely H. pendulus.
And then a 22-spot ladybird.
The best find was a "colony" of six Hypsosinga heri, an extremely rare spider which at the moment seems to have a UK range restricted to Radipole and Lodmoor.
