The Black-faced Blenny is not really a blenny at all. Blennies are smooth fish, without scales, whereas the Black-faced Blenny is scaled and looks much more like a goby. It has only recently been shown to be present in UK waters and is classified as endangered, although this may only be because it is so difficult to find. This one was caught in a drop net off the Stone Pier at Weymouth and housed briefly in an aquarium for filming.
